ADVENTURE LIKE A LOCAL: DENALI NATIONAL PARK

We asked Boardroom members for some of their best tips for visiting Denali National Park.  Take a read of their top ideas before heading

Here are a few of the top ideas:

1.        Take the train in September for a spectacular view of the changing leaves.  Tourism season is starting to slow down so it’s less crowded.

2.        Visit Talkeetna on your way! There’s nothing better than eating pizza with a view of Denali (that counts, right?) and our members love Mountain High Pizza Pie. Another local favorite in Talkeetna, and wildly appropriate for any Denali adventure, is the Denali Brew Pub!

3.        Get a B&B in Fairbanks to save money and drive down to the park.  Enjoy Denali AND Fairbanks if you have the time to drive.

4.        For a little extra adventure, try to Packraft the Nenana River. Packrafts pack up even lighter and smaller meaning you have access to new adventures!

5.        Looking for a little different lodging experience? Try the Experience Alaska Yurts in Cantrell, just outside Denali National Park.

What are your favorite “Denali” musts?
